Spirit Airlines is facilitating travel to Mexico for Americans through the introduction of a new continuous service to Tulum.
The commencement of daily flights between Felipe Carrillo Puerto International Airport in Tulum and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Orlando International Airport is planned for March 28, coinciding with the public opening of the Mexican airport.
Spirit is the inaugural low-cost carrier to declare service at the newly constructed airport in the United States.
Tulum is becoming an increasingly popular destination among leisure travelers, and our direct flights from Florida will make a trip to the enchanting coast of Mexico more accessible than ever, just in time for spring break.
The airline is providing complimentary one-way fares to Tulum in honor of the launch of its new service. These introductory fares begin at $149, all taxes and fees included.
With the inclusion of nonstop flights to Tulum, the airline now serves 26 international destinations out of its hub in Fort Lauderdale and 11 destinations out of its hub in Miami.
Spirit's flights to Latin America and the Caribbean depart from Florida, and the new Tulum service provides passengers traveling from 53 U.S. cities with an additional one-stop option.
